DAWN'S BIOGRAPHY

Dawn Okpisz is a singer, songwriter, private instructor, worship director, pastor’s wife and mother of two children. Dawn survived 18 years of domestic violence. It is through the Father’s love that Dawn found true healing.

Her first album, “Early Dawn, Love Explosion” is the story of her life journey and God's healing power. After a 2 year music tour, Dawn struggled for several years with a disabling disease. Again, she cried out to Jesus. Through this struggle Dawn came to experience a deeper level of intimacy with God. On September 24, 2006, Dawn received a medically verified physical healing that changed her life. Because of God's compassion, she began a new journey to share His love and lead people into God's presence through intimate worship.

Dawn’s experience includes leading worship in 3 different congregations, 9 years of teaching private voice & piano lessons, and a two-year Early Dawn music tour. Tour highlights include singing and sharing her testimony in Illinois, Louisianna, Missouri, New York and Tenessee. Dawn now lives in the Chicago area and serves on the advisory board for the Chicago Encounter.

Dawn is currently receiving invitations to lead worship and share her testimony at conferences, retreats, women’s events, special worship services and events celebrating Christ through the arts.
